Trip Description
Leave the city buzz behind and breathe in the fresh mountain air of Montagu. Tucked between sandstone cliffs, this weekend escape blends the simple joy of camping under the stars with the thrill of summiting Cogmanskloof . On Friday, we’ll set up camp, meet the tribe, and settle in for a relaxed evening around the fire. To beat the summer heat, we’ll rise early on Saturday to take on one of Montagu’s most rewarding trails. The Cogmanskloof trail hike winds through fynbos-covered slopes and rewards you with sweeping views of the valley and the iconic rock arch below. Sunday brings two adventure options: Option 1: Sport Climbing — After checking out at 10:00, we’ll head back into the mountains for a day on the rock. This activity has an additionL cost of R750 p.p. and includes all gear (bring your own if you prefer). Option 2: Badskloof Hike — A gentler 2.2 km trail that leads to natural pools and mineral springs, perfect for cooling off before heading home. Whether you’re seeking connection, challenge, or calm, this weekend offers the perfect blend of wild beauty and small-town charm. Families are welcome — there are swimming pools on-site, but please ensure your little ones can swim. Supervision (nannies) can be arranged so you can enjoy your hike worry-free.
Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATIONS : There will be no refunds in the event of a no-show by guests. In the event of an amendment not received 7 days prior to activity booked the guest will still be responsible for the full cost for the total number of guest originally confirmed. Management of Cape Mountain Guides PTY (Ltd) reserves the right to cancel any activity due to unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to, insufficient passengers and/or unfavorable weather conditions. CANCELLATION POLICY: 60+ days cancellation before arrival 100% refund - less 4.6% in the case of online credit card transactions. 31 - 60 days cancellation before arrival 50% refund - less 4.6% in the case of online credit card transactions. 30 days cancellation before arrival 0% refund
